Living in New Jersey, close to the Atlantic Ocean has been the "cool" part of my summer experience this year. My daughter and her husband and I and their kids went to the shore the first week of July. (The lighthouse pictured here is a synthesis of a number of lighthouses.) Last year we climbed "Old Barney" at the end of Long Beach island, near Barnagate Bay. We've had an unusually warm dry summer in 2010. The tiger lilies which usually bloom in August are few and far between and blooming early. This fanciful little painting is from a few years ago, looking up, from a bugs or a fairy's viewpoint.

These original watercolors are printed on a quality watercolor paper and can be purchased in packs of 4 for $8 or in a box. There are 8 assorted cards in a gift box, with a pen for $16.95.
